Do you have anything special that you drink for the holiday?  Either alcoholic or non-alcoholic? 

My favorite non-alcoholic drink I learned when I had a vegan over for Christmas last year and had to find a way of making vegan eggnog.  You can also add liquor to this:

1 cup peeled mango
1 peeled banana
2 cups vanilla soy milk
3 tbsp. brown rice syrup
2 ½ tbsp. fruit-flavored lecithin granules
¼ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp. vanilla extract

Blend ingredients, chill before serving, serves 4.

My favorite source of alcoholic drink recipes is http://www.thebar.com/  I like that they let you sort by occasion so that I can figure out what drinks go well for my parties.  I’d sure as hell rather get advice from Jack about that than Martha Stewart.  Anyone know why that actor looks so familiar to me?

I'm not good at drinking alcohol straight.  I get a lot of crap from people for liking "ladies drinks".  But, what are ya gonna do, I just don't have an iron stomach.  The good thing about liking ladies drinks is that I can easily impress the ladies.  Though, I do get most recipes off that thebar.com site, don't know many of my own.  I need to expand.

I don't like alcohol...but I do like wine, although it has a little in it.
I avoid drinking since most time I am driving so...

Oh I never drink and drive.  This is strictly for "after hours" when the children are fast asleep on Christmas Eve!

I'm having a bunch of people over tonight for a holiday party, my girlfriend had me get her a cider recipe off www.thebar.com:
Ingredients
•  1.5 cups Crown Royal
•  8 cups apple cider
•  8 cinnamon sticks
................................................................................
Preparation
•  Add Crown Royal and apple cider in large pot and heat until warm
•  Pour into 8 heat-proof mugs and garnish each mug with cinnamon stick

I never drink and drive.  I have too many friends who do, though.  I don't understand it, many of them are educated, middle class people, the kind you don't expect it from, but I guess that's probably most of the people that do.  It seems weird to me that the friends I have that are total drunks, that drive with a fifth of vodka between their legs, never get DUIs or into accidents, while the friends I have who DID get DUI's did so after drinking like ONE beer at a party and driving home.  Maybe they were just lying about how much booze they had out of embarassment.

I think I'll try this recipe for a little holiday cheer, sounds good to me!

I've actually been impressed how well I've been doing this holiday season.  For a lot of the parties I went to I just drank water.  I prefer to have an enjoyable drinking experience, I can't drink every night it just isn't good for me.  But, I did have Irish Mimosas on X-mas day. Or at least that's what my pappy calls 'em. www.thebar.com calls them Black Velvet... pretty fancy name for Guiness and champagne, but they were good. What'd you drink, alcoholic or not?

Latetly, i prefer drinking wine since most of the drinks served here are not "pure"
