All new G7X are 90 nanos...
Nvidia is working hard to move to a 90 nanometre process. It's happy with 110 nanometers but if you want to have more chips per wafer and to hit higher speeds you have to move to 90. It makes perfect financial sense. We already mentioned the G71 Nvidia upcoming high end chip and Asus already launched the notebook based on G72. Of course G72 will get its desktop part but just to be on the safe side. G72 is an entry level chip that will get some serious revenues to Nvidia. We don’t know how it compares with X1300, RV515 based chips.
Nvidia is working on G73, that’s the next 6600 GT or should we say its NV43 replacement. Its again 90 nanometre and it's based on G7x marchitecture but we don’t know much details about it. It's scheduled for either late Q1 or early Q2 2006.
It won't be that long till Nvidia transfers to 90 nanometre. It will get more dies per wafer and to reach the higher clocks and performance. It all starts in late January, early February.
