i am trying to get pictures from a vcd that was burned on a cd-rw disc. On the the disk are 7 folders. cdda (blank), cdi (blank), ext (blank), karaoke (blank), mpegav (AVSEQ01.DAT), segment (ITEM0001.DAT, ITEM0003.DAT, ITEM0070.DAT) and vcd (ENTRIES.VCD, INFO.VCD, LOT.VCD, PSD.VCD).
The disk plays correctly on my home cd player but i can't get any of the pictures from the cd using software to store on my computer. The disk was given to me so i don't know what software was used in the original burning.
I would appreciate any and all suggetions. Thank you

Hi mutari and Welcome to Our Forum !!!
The only file you will need is to copy and paste the AVSEQ01.DAT onto your Computer then rename it to AVSEQ01.MPG and you should be able to watch it using Windows Player !!!

Thanks for the info. the AVSEQ01.MPG file on this cd says ULEAD photoVCD. VCD 2.0 player required. please turn on PBC to show photos.
I changed the item0003.dat and item0070.dat to .mpg and it worked.
i will now try to extract the photos from the .mpg files.
Thanks again.
