BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing/distribution protocol designed for transferring files from multiple locations. Because of the nature of this protocol, large files can be handled more efficiently than the typical client/server method.

SiliconFreak,

Thanx for the update... I read that there is going to be (sooner or later) a release that will track movies, so they "can't" be downloaded.... we'll see.....

Yes, I also read that somewhere (hmmm...I believe I also posted that somewhere around here...)....

So are you worried about that? There will be workaround for sure...not that i support that...but you know...nothing is nor will ever be 100% safe or hacker-proof....at least not in the Great Internet World...

No, what I really meant was, I use BitTorrent for HUGE file transfers to and from work (4+GB) and it's easy for me to post them and then get them, back and forth.

I'm afraid that there will be "spyware" somewhere in that client to see what is going on.  Naturally I always encrpyt my work files... so no big deal.. but I just don't like that idea.

I understand you....i was just joking....but by my opinion...you have nothing to worry about....cause they will have big problems with identifying their "wanted" files....even harder if (as you said) encrypt them.... And if they attack some "spyware"....so what...there are many torrent clients around....and i am sure they wont install that into each of them...(maybe just in official BitTorrent....but surely not in all others....)....so i really wouldnt worry too much....cause finally....if all that fails...you know who we need to call to get things done....hhahahhahahahhaha....no i didnt say that....
