Can anyone recommend some good dual layer media for my Benq 1640.

I purchased some TraxData DVD+R DL media: -
Manufacture ID of RICOHJPN
Media ID of D00

It works fine in my Benq drive.  It almost works fine in my Toshiba SD220-E dvd player, except the video footage it starts breaking up near the end of the disc.  I have burned 3 discs so far any it has happened on all 3.

What media would you recommend I try next, except the expensive Verbatim.
Datawrite Titanium with ID of  CMC MAG D01
RiDisc with ID of Ritek D01
Rivision with ID of CMC MAG D01
Bulkpaq with ID of CMC MAG D01
Datasafe with ID of Ritek D01

Any advice or successful burns from people would be greatly apreciated before I waste more money, lol

I was having the same problem. Verbatim was the only one that worked right. I called http://www.sav-on-supplies.com because I have bought media from them before and they had the DUAL LAYER Verbatim for about the best price I could find, but your right it was like 3.50 a disc or something? Not very cheap yet. Someday hopefully.

I have to agree with the above replies.  So far, regardless of the burner, Verbatim DVD+R dual layer media seems to be the one name that is consistently reported as being the most compatible, and the most reliable.

I have personally had terrific success with these (using three burners, none of which happen to match your own).  I have now used them for 37 successful burns.   To be honest, I also had success with six discs that were Ritek. However, others have reported problems using these.  I have yet to see a single negative report on the Verbatim DVD+R dual layer discs.

The Mitsubishi/Verbatim seems to be the best, according to reviews. No problems...

Finally found a disc that works perfect from start to finish in my Tosh dvd player.  Just as fast booting as original.
The Datasafe Dual Layer with CMC MAG D01 and they only cost me £1.50 each.  Bargin
