Hewlett-Packard added two new consumer devices to its notebook lineup. The Pavilion dv4000 and the Compaq branded Presario v4000 can be ordered with ATI's X700 discrete graphics chip, a15.4-inch widescreen display as well as Lightscribe DVD burners. Scheduled to be available by the end of this month, the Pavilion dv4000 is priced from $800 and from $950 with an X700 graphics chip. The Presario model checks in at $750 as a base model and at $900 with the discrete graphics chip.

Strange, the DV4000's have been out for a while (2 months) here in USA, both in Compaq And HP Brands.

Yes, really strange...

The only reasonable explaination for this "news" can be...that although both models were out already for quite a while....they maybe didnt have X700 Graphics card as an option...or Lightscribe DVD drive? I checked HP's hompage and the only Graphics card options were : Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 900 and Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 900 - Pentium !?

Really dont know...maybe those "new options" were the only improvements in this story...
