I had a full version of Nero 5.5 with my crappy Acer 12x. Now that I have upgraded to a LG 52, I am reduced to using Nero Express. I still have the cd for the old drive. dang it.
Anyways, when I create audio cd's, I cannot rip tracks from mixed-mode cds. I bought a cd a few years ago called "Learning to breathe" by Switchfoot, and when playing on a computer, it reads as a data cd and has it's own Windows and Mac cdplayer that can find the tracks. In a normal CD player it's ok. How can I rip these tracks? Nero Express 18.104.22.168 only shows the data mode files in the browse window. The cd is obviously useless under Linux. However, it was bought long before all this problems with companies trying to thwart mp3 rippers by producing non-standard cds.
Anyway, enough ranting, please help.
