Hello all. Super newbie here. I have been creating video titles with Pinnacle ImpressionSE and Toshiba SD-R5002 2x DVD-R drive. I am getting an NEC 3520 with a few days. It is very limited and I am interested in what people find is the most feature-rich program to use on Windows 2000/XP.

I want to create DVD-R video titles that will be used in consumer players. Right now I am doing just DVD-5 single layer project. I want to be able to create DVD-9 or DVD-14 project for mass duplication; I'd be looking to get a DLT tape drive or possibly dual layer discs.

My main gripes with ImpressionSE are:
No motion menus. Menus in ImpressionSE can only use static backgrounds.
Can't link to chapters. Titles may contain chapters, you simply can not link to them from a menu. THAT REALLY SUX.

What I like about ImpressionSE:
Menu creation in Photoshop format. Menus buttons and hilites are super easy.
Multiple camera angles. I don't really use this now but will be a nice fature.

Here is my wish list:
Motion menus
Linking to chapters from menus
5.1 surround audio support (possibly encoder)
Dual layer program creation
Copy protection/encoding
Subtitles
Different camera angles

What is a good program to authors titles with correct my knowledge/impressions:
Adobe Encore (Don't know much about it)

Sonic ReelDVD/MyDVD (ReelDVD only creates DVD-5 project anything else requires Scenaritst=$$$$$$$$$$$)

Ulead
(Don't know much about it)

Sony DVD Architect
(DVD Architect only creates DVD-5 projects)

DVDLab
(Considered an undercover powerhouse)

Cyberlink PowerDirector
(don't know much about it)

Nero 6
(Don't know much about it. Find it hard to believe a bundled program can really be feaure rich)
