The only technology I despise is Z-CLV since minute 'gaps' or 'links' are created for each zone (speed change), which is physically visible with Cyanine/AZO based media. Even though this very, very small 'gap' is almost non-existent with the advancement of BURN-Proof etc., I prefer no gap at all. Even CAV writing at ~48X using quality media can result to lower error rates than some drives @ 16X on the wrong media. C1/C2/CU scans show this.
