I would think this has been asked a million times but why not make dual sided cdr discs like that of a dual sided dvd? It would be great to have such a thing IMO.

just not possible... if cd is to be dual sided, they'll have to redesign the cd completely.

when dvd was designed, it was designed to have dual sides, that's why it's possible for dvd +/- r

Personally, I'm glad that dual sided media didn't take on so much, since it makes labeling the disc rather difficult. This wouldn't be a problem though if the standard for media was cartridge based, like some DVD-RAM is though.

Dual sided cd's are not possible.
Well for the people who don't know what dual sided dvd's actually are.
Dual sided dvd's are actually 2 DVD's glued on each other.

Now if you do this with cd's the disc gets to thick.

So how about DVD/CD (DVD+)
Well this one is out there as pressed media and it is as far as you can go.
This media can allready be problematic on some players and for this reason most companies just stick to seperate disc's.
