The product was officially launched by M Karunanidhi, former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, and Dayanidhi Maran, Union minister of communication and information technology.

A Microsoft official told that the move was a part of the company's exercise to unlock the potential of the Indian market by making its products accessible to an increasing number.
