Hi, I was playing a game online (raindbow six but i think it is irrelevant) when all of a sudden then game exited for no reason and the mouse started moving on the screen. In order to play i had my firewall down so there is a chance that someone hacked me although i pretty sure i have no trojans on my computer.

Anyway since this happened i now have no CDRW drive in windows explorer, i still have my other CD-Rom drive which would have been in use while i played the game.
I have looked in device manager and the CDRW drive no longer exists in there either. I have tried a system restore with no luck and really dont know what else to try, please help me.

I am using windows xp home edition SP1

You will have to go through the process of installing the CD/RW drive again, which XP has great Plug & Play feature and should have noticed the drive when you booted your PC.

try removing the IDE cable, booting your computer without the drive attached, then power down and put the drive back on.

Also take a look at your BIOS settings for your drives, maybe set them to auto-detect.
