Come on, it's 2005 now, Win2003 has been released for a very long time.
Logitech still don't have their mice driver to support Win2003.

Recently, lot of my work need to browse / expand tree nodes to select some individual files, there are lot of double-click actions. My MX500 has a thumb-key but won't work since MouseWare is not supported in Win2003....

Is there any chance they have updated drivers in their website?

It is unacceptable, I agree with you.

No, new driver still won't support Win2003
Anyway, I download the latest MouseWare and set it as WindowsXP compitable, then install the driver.

Now my thumb-button works....

I don't think they will update MouseWare for what they now consider to be legacy devices. Their new driver/control software is called SetPoint and it does not support any older devices. Logitech is starting to act like other companies and insisting that you drop another 50 - 100 on a new mouse if you want better drivers.

SetPoint driver is for MX900 and MX1000, while MX700 is still using MouseWare.
Latest MouseWare was released on Jan/2004.

However, SetPoint is still not supported on Windows 2003.
