Hello again..
I was wondering can someone give me a dummy rundown of backing up dvd's
I gathered i need some for of dvd shrink and burning software.
I have tried to search but that didnt help.(again)
Any help would be great

I use DVD Decryter (Free Download, just do a google search) to rip ALL the files to my hard drive, and remove the protection, then I use Pintical Instant Copy to make the DVD. Works great, it is easy to use and you end up with the whole DVD on one DVDR.

Hi tron,
i have used dvd decrypter to place the files on my hard drive but they ended up being .VOB files..

wondering what step i took wrong..
any help would be great

Hi
.vob files are the video files of a dvd movie
You can add the result files of dvd decrypter in nero burning rom under dvd video compilation
Just be carefull to add the files in the video_ts directory
I quess you own a dvd-r

If i burn a vcd file onto a dvd-r will it work on my dvd player? If not what do i need to do and what program do i need?

you'll need to convert the audio stream to 48khz first for it to work. and then burn the files like you would dvd through ulead.

but seriously it's not worth the effort cause there're the occasional sync problems.
