Don't know if your HDD will be fast enough to keep up with the transfer rate for 52X writing, but for 16X-20X should work ok

Id be really surprised if you could even run it at 16-20x.

I had an old p1 133mhz that could barely hack 1x. Even then, if it was audio, it had to be burned from mp3s or the resulting cd wouldnt play without skips.

BUt if i burned at 2x, it would get a buffer under-run. You could probably buy a faster cpu for real cheap that would fit your mobo. Or buy a slower burner.

I would say first check if your motherboard supports udma or not... if not, then you probably need a very fast hard disk, and lower the recording speed to about 4x, good luck~[^]
