Hi, as far as i know when i Bitset a DVD+R media it "turns" into a DVD-ROM so if i backup one of my XBOX or PS2 games on a DVD+R and bitset it into a DVD-ROM will my PS2/XBOX which isnt moded play it?

Thanks .

What I meant was that my PS2 doesnt read burned dvds/cds at the moment because its not modded and it doesnt matter if the media is DVD-R or DVD+R it just wont recognize them.
So if I'll bitset a DVD+R into a DVD-ROM my PS2 will recognize the media?
Sorry for being a noob about this.

your PS2 if its not like 3 years old, it should read OK DVD+/-R even without the use of bitsetting, the bitsetting usually improves the compatibility so just try it

Actually its 2 years old but thats not the point, all consoles cant read burned dvds/cds if the console hasnt been moded with a chip or a soft mod w/e.
my question is if bitset a dvd will the console be able to read it or does it still count as a burned dvd and it wont recognize it.

You are not able to read any recordable DVDs with an unmodified PS2. Even if you apply bittsetting to the media, it is more likely it will not be read by the device, since the PS2 recognizes the media type (DVD+R/-R) before it reaches the the "bittsetting" information on the disc area.
