Hi folks
after reading around the packet writing forum I decided
you are a very helpful group, so I registered. And of course
a problem. I just discovered 3 disks that have much material
on them. Unfortunately I used an old ver of InCD to store with. And
no I don't know what ver, but it had to be in the year 2000.
Any way when i put them in the burner, liteon 52x24x52, all I
get is "Non-Allocatable List". sys is win xp pro sp1, abit IT7 max
ect.also a Samsung combo 32x. I have used this set with nero
5.5.1035 and InCD 4010 and the latest EasyWriteReader and the
preformace is great. TIA Jim Rogers[?]

Welcome to CDRInfo, JDRogers!

Since InCD 4.0.1.0 is buggy, you may try to read your old InCD discs on another box with XP SP1 (here SP1 is crucial), or a box with Win98x, W2K or XP after installing EasyWriteReader 3.3.2.0 (750,220 bytes):

ftp://ftp4.nero.com/EasyWriteReader.exe

ftp://ftp6.nero.com/EasyWriteReader.exe

(but don't use EasyWriteReader 4.0.0.10, 663,057 bytes).

Otherwise, you may try some commercial CD recovery software:

http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/ (ISO Buster)

http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/ (BadCopy Pro)

http://www.arrowkey.com/cddvddiagnostic.html (CD/DVD Diagnostic)

http://www.arrowkey.com/cdrxdataretriever.html (CD Rx)

http://www.naltech.com/ (CD Data Rescue)

http://www.cdroller.com/ (CD Roller)

http://www.elpros.si/CDCheck/ (CD Check)

Sometimes such programs are used with RoadKill's Unstoppable Copier

A recent comparison is available at

http://www.ibo-business.com/ibo-cd-recovery-report.htm

Although you seem to be happy with InCD 4.0.1.0, I'm not sure if you are aware of its possible bugs discussed at CDRLabs:

http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=68289#68289

You may uninstall InCD 4.0.1.0 and EasyWriteReader 4.0.0.10 via Add/Remove Programs, and then install InCD 3.52.40

ftp://ftp.nero.com/InCD35240.exe

ftp://ftp3.nero.com/InCD35240.exe

and EasyWriteReader 3.3.2.0 from the links above.
