The quest for the perfect case continues, but let me tell you, this Thermaltake came very close. You can't really complain about things when everything just plain works... and works well at that! Top notch construction, plenty of expansion space, an intelligent PCI bracket, a removeable motherboard tray, great cooling performance by the dual 120mm fans and cool blue lights.

If it seems that I am raving about this case, I am. What keeps it from a perfect score though? Just two things, well, one and a half things. Firstly, the big gaping hole in the side of the case just didn't bode well with me. Yes, it could possibly help with cooling performance, but it was also a great way for dust to get into the case. Somewhat related to that was the front intake fan. You either have a filter or you don't. There's no point in putting a filter over the fan, but leaving a gaping hole right underneath it for dust to get in. Finally, there's the small issue of the 3.5" bays being a little more trouble than they need to be.

Another issue you may have is the price. The lowest price we could find at a reputable retailer was $148 at mWave.com. Other places like Newegg.com and TigerDirect were slightly higher, at $159. Keep in mind that this is a full-featured full-aluminum case though. Those rarely come cheap - expect to pay at least $100 even for a modest one.

With all that said and done, it's not enough to keep me from highly recommending this case and oh yes, it is worthy of being Hardcore.
