I've put together a table of media good and bad from posts in this forum. It's hard to format it here so I've done it in a CSV format. Copy it and import/parse as CSV to get things in the right columns!!!

Some comments:
TDK also makes there own disks.
Sony uses also disks made by Sony and Mitsui

However there is this german sites which holds a catalogue of most cd-r's and there manufacturer. Will post it tommorow if I can find the adress back.
Now only select the Mitsui,Tayo Yuden,Kodak, Ricoh, manufactured discs and the TDK distributed discs and choose a safe buy yourself.
