Turbolinux, Inc., a global leader of Linux-based solutions, announced today the availability of a free downloadable technical preview version of "Turbolinux 10 for AMD64/EM64T" its new Linux OS. This product is compatible with the "64-bit Extension Technology Software (EMT64T)" of Intel Corporation, and "AMD Opteron/Athlon 64 Processor" of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

"Turbolinux 10 Server" users, Turbo-CE certified users and TurboLINKS partners had access to the free downloadable service on January 31st. It will be released to the general public at the end of February.

"Turbolinux 10 for AMD64/EM64T" is a Linux OS compatible with 64-bit CPUs. Its launch is scheduled for the end of the month using our latest server OS "Turbolinux 10 Server" as a base. Users will be able to take full advantage of the capability and high performance of the newer 64-bit CPU's without losing the ability to run legacy 32-bit applications. Newly built applications will be free from 32-bit memory and I/O limitations. Turbolinux expects the advantages of the 64-bit platform to drive further expansion in the Linux market.

Turbolinux expects the 64-bit market to grow quickly in 2005 and looks forward to further 64-bit platform development.
