Hope someone can help me with this,

My NEC 3500 has been burning at very slow speeds. On average, it burns a ful 4.x gigs in about 30 minutes. Im using the Fujifilm DVDs that should have burned at 8 x...Ive snooped around the forum and got the programs needed for diagnosis. Ive tried burning after flashing to 2.16 then 2.17 and now 2.18 but its all the same. I havent tried unplugging and replugging the drive there any other way to find out why it is burning so slow? (im running windows 2000, and using Nero 6.3) Thanks in advance all!

Try with a different media brand. Also get a newer Nero version if possibnle and install system ASPI. What about DMA, is it enabled?
