Tokyo (JCNN) - Sony Marketing (TSE: 6758) will begin marketing September 17 the Cyber-shot DSC-P150, a compact, high-resolution digital camera that features a 1/1.8-inch 7.4-megapixel Super HAD CCD and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens.
The product, coupled with Sony's proprietary Real Imaging Processor technology, delivers high-quality, smooth digital pictures with less imaging noise. Also Memory Stick-compatible, it offers a 3x optical zoom capability, and comes with a 1.8-inch TFT LCD. It is also capable of recording MPEG1 video at 640x480 pixels at 30 frames per second, and weighs only 147g and measures 108x51.5x26.6mm.
Though open-priced, the camera is likely to be priced at 60,000 yen ($541).
