Here is the same disk as above but scanned on liteon sohw-832 VS0A

Hmmm the conclusion I would draw from these two would seem that, one cannot just blame the writer / media for a bad scan, the reader plays just a big a part in this. Many before have stated that some discs with higher errors play fine and we can see why here. Zeb and I have discussed many times that scanning is meaningless on its own, there are too many variables.

I would like to see this media scanned on more liteon burners to see if this one unit may just be a bad reader.

Hrrrrrm. Agreed, Nic! The best qualitative evidence strategy is one of exhaustion and multiple angles. This is a situation where the dependent variable is far too wide in its potential for error....

Its hard to draw simple conclusions from this.
