i think you can do that by converting the mpeg file to avi and then edit it with adobe premiere (movie mixer). in my knowledge you can't edit mpeg directly ...

You could rip the dvd with smartripper then DVD2AVI then use TMPGEnc and when it asks for the video use the .d2 file you made with DVD2AVI and then for audio you can select any wave you like and then click start.
