Into this vicious jungle of video card madness, nVidia releases the 9800GT. Priced around $175 by most nVidia partners, though the 9800GTs performance should be above that of the 9600GT and all mid-range cards from the previous generation, it will be a hard sell against the HD 4850. But our friends at Palit wisely released their version of the 9800GT at $130, precisely in the price range of those cards that it will easily and soundly trounce. So at that price point, econo-buyers can get a newly-released video card that should be in the upper mid-range/lower high-range GPU world.
