File/Folder extensions

you know how you can make it so that you don't see known file extensions? Well, there is a type of folder "thats right folder" extension that is ".{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" and I can see it after the folder and I dunno why, it's never done that before, so I was wondering, How do I make it so that I don't see extensions period?
