lastcallswerve -> Nero Unable to recover TOC (11/5/2007 9:08:20 PM)

I have been having problems burning DVDs with Nero. I've gone so far as to upgrade from version 7.0 *sumthin* to 7.5.9.0 . I was hoping someone could make heads or tails of this log and offer a more constructive suggestion than "buy a new burner"

Try better media (i.e. Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden) and use ImgBurn instead of Nero.  It is certainly worth a look and you can't beat the cost since it is free.  I don't even have Nero installed and have not used it for over six months.  Check out the ImgBurn forum for some guides and FAQ's.

lastcallswerve -> RE: Nero Unable to recover TOC (11/6/2007 11:58:12 AM)

This may be redundant because its probably in the log but I don't know where to look for it, but in terms of media I've been using (or in this case trying to use) TDK DVD+R 1-16x.

SithTracy -> RE: Nero Unable to recover TOC (11/6/2007 3:39:49 PM)

quote:

CdRom0: SCSIStatus(x02) WinError(0) NeroError(-1066)
is the error... tough to say what exactly it is, but because of...
quote:

Disc Manufacturer ID: RITEK...
Media type ID: R05
I would say you need to try to obtain some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media...

MP3Mogul -> RE: Nero Unable to recover TOC (11/6/2007 5:38:24 PM)

NeroError 1066 is a media write error.

I suggest other media as well.
