I remember NERO used to have a function where it would test the speed of your HARD Drives, so as to see if they could transfer data fast enough to feed Disc burning.  In NERO 7 I cannot find this test.  Does anyone know if/where it is?  Is there another program that does something similar, short of a full fledged Benchmark program?

Nero CD-DVD Speed is what you are looking for.

Hi [:)]
qz33.
I think what you are looking for is...........
Nero Burning Rom (in menu [even 7]);
Select either CD Copy or DVD Copy;
Click the Image tab;
Click Test Speeds button:

Thanks Zeb's... I gave up on Nero after I went back to an Intel system earlier this year... I don't think it plays nice with AHCI, but Nero has not been very helpful in resolving it for me... they seem to have more of a commitment to bloat; and it is hard to get the bugs out of bloat!  It just has not been stable on my Intel rig... worked fine on my AMD rig though.  A friend of mine with a similar setup has the same issues (he runs AHCI with different drives)...

ImgBurn rocks though!
