I have an unusual(I think) problem I've encountered with this drive. I cannot read any bought DVD's, but can play all homemade DVD's and music CD's with no problem. Everytime I put in a bought DVD, the drive makes a faint grinding noise. It seems to me the drive is working fine, but will not read the bought DVD's. This happens with all software(Windows Media, Realplayer, etc.)
I have uninstalled the drive, tried to populate the DVD in device manager. Device Manager says it is working fine, Windoows update says it has the correct driver. I tried to find an updated driver, to no avail. Any suggestions?
