MLB123 -> Recommendation For Recovering Deleted Data? (1/14/2007 1:57:04 AM)

Tracy, this is not regarding my previous post.  Your recommendation was excellent, the free portion of the IsoBuster did indeed find my files!  Now all I have to do is pay the fee.

This was posted at a forum that I'm a member of and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for her:

I don't know how she did it. I think you would have to be an evil mastermind to repeat the level of damage. I walked away from my laptop after having spend torturous hours hammering out this chapter, which is a particularly difficult one. I work in open office and it saves every one minute. Somehow, my daughter deleted all the work that I did today.

The only thing I can think of is that she must have hit "edit undo" over and over again and then saved it. I've tried all the tips and tricks for retrieval and nothing worked. I"m fairly devastated about it. As a writer I find you can never truly duplicate something that you write...

Can you help?

Thanks so much,
Mary Ann

Google Undelete.  You're bound to find something.  I don't have an undelete utility... but I think we all at sometime wish we did.  I know O&O Software has one, and I would expect that to be a good one... See if a trial works for your forum dweller friend or one of the free offerings from a Google search.
