xGxUNITx -> Using HDD for PC purposes (10/30/2005 8:52:46 PM)

I have sold my PC, but I still have my HDD.  Is there a way to use my PS2's HDD to store information from my PC?

yes but you will need to format the PS2 HDD to NTFS or FAT32

Emperor, that is exactly what i want to do.  I have no more use for my ps2 hdd and want to use it in my external hard drive case as a backup for my music, pics, vids etc.  However, i cannot get the pc to recognize the hdd when i have it in the case.  What do i need to do to get it to recognize it so that i can format it for use....thanks in advance for your help

Try the drive inside your PC first before using the USB/IEEE1394a enclosure. You may need to get it partitioned/formatted before you can use it in the enclosure.
