i consider to buy a multi media pc for my tv to backup my dvds. i found the free ratdvd tool in the net but before i start to encode all my disc i want to ask if someone here has any experiance with ratdvd. i dont want to waste may time with encoding an bad results or using...

I personally have never used it but I heard it produces good results, but can take a very long time to encode.

ratDVD is useful for those who need it, aka, sharing files over internet, i prefer a good XVid encoding, since almost all DVD players support DivX/Xvid files

real advanced technologyDVD is good for images of around the 1GB mark, but lacks wide comsumer standalone support as it is relitively new/unknown. Quality is very good about on par with most DIVX codecs...
