Images from file share

I recently downloaded some ps2 images (ISO or BIN) from file share programs. I burned them using Alcohol 120% or Fantom CD. But some images work fine and some will not boot at all (It says "Please enter Playstation or Playstation2 disk" or similar) I have "Magic V" modchip. Are these fake images ?
