I just read the DVD writer roundup review at Anandtech.com and it seems that the Pioneer DVR-109 produces a massive amount of errors using verbatim 16X DVD+R media.  I am concerned because I use this media quite often and assumed the quality of them was quite good.  Can anyone comment on this or their own experiences using this drive and this media?

Welcome!

I would suggest you to take a second opinion on this, below:

The firmware is important.

I barely visit Anandtech. Its a good website especialy with VGAs and mobos, but as far as it concerns the optical storage I think CDRinfo is the leader.[;)]
