Just curious but no NEC or PLEXTOR
As you've probably guessed I'd rate both of these above any of those on your list
I've had only 1 Plextor drive (after 18 month's use) fail which was replaced shipping free within 5 days
Nec 2 drives both 3520a's failed within 1 month of purchase & replaced within 14 days with 3540a's ( Nec claimed it took 14 days as 2 drives were involved & they examined them with a fine toothcomb )
This is over a 10 year period of system building
As far any queries emailed to said manufacter's the longest reply took 2days excluding weekends
Liteon / Philips just don't respond at least to me
Pioneer have had a lacklustre response ( it's a user / software issue )
