cdrw88 -> INCD 4.0.1.21 disk full (7/27/2003 9:16:21 PM)

Hi,

When I put 400 meg. of files on a CD-rw using incd everything is fine. I come back a day or so later and I click on properties and the disk is full !

Nothing new was added !

Obviously with a full disk I can't add anything new or erase it. Anyideas what is going on ?

Using Windows 2000 4.0.1.21

How many files did you add in the disc the previous day?

Please take into account that on a 74min disc there are about 550MB available after formating. Add on this about 3,500 x (cluster size) / 2 waisted space.
I don't know the particular numbers for InCd, but you might actually have reached the disc's capacity limits.

i'm having a very similar problem... more like several problems and that's one. i formatted a disk, saved two files to it from my word processor, used very little space, overwrote them to check it, and then start having problems formatting other disks. when i tried going back to the one that worked for me, it says it's full. or, in the word processor, it says there's no disk in the drive, and in windows explorer it says there's no disk in the drive. we got the very first try after getting new brands of cdrw's, thinking a media brand would solve the problem, but no. after the successful try we couldn't reproduce the success. very frustrated.

This is one of the reasons I do not use packet writing software.
It's a recording method full of problems and of a very LOW reliability. Please always do normal backups for storing sensitive data. Packet writing is just for transfering files between computers, where a problem can be only some waisted time. Unless you use a DVD-RAM!

Maybe if shorty can provide log files of InCD I can try to understand what is causing this problem.
