wheelerc6 -> DVR 109 Firmware failure.... (4/18/2005 4:21:45 PM)

When attempting to update the firmware on my new DVR-109 from 1.13 to 1.4 I receive the following message:

/// DVD-ROM/DVD-RW Firmware Update Utility Ver2.19A
Detect the Intel's IDE driver.
Start updating the device No.1.
Current Revision PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-109 1.13 05/01/29
Current Signature = GENERAL
Disc is inserted into DVD-RW.
Please eject a disc. 0drive(s) have been updated successfully.

There is NO disk in the DVR-109 drive! Also, when I attempt to use the quite drive utility there are no drives to select from in the drop down list. I do have Intel Application Accelerator RAID software
on my machine.

Does anyone know why this would occur or has anyone had this same issue???

Pioneer recommends you disable or uninstall Intel Application Accelerator before updating your firmware. Try and flash in safe mode or DOS. The quite drive utility only works on the A09XL enhanced models not the DVR-109 GENERAL
